I Will Be With You

In the early morning hours of December 29, 2024, I went to the UCONN Health Emergency Room with symptoms of uncontrollable coughing. I was later diagnosed with RSV that had been exacerbated by my preexisting asthmatic bronchitis. Thoughts went through my mind that I might not survive. I was later admitted to the hospital because of concerns about my heart health due to the extreme coughing.
Family, members of my small group, and the church elders prayed for me. At one point, while lying in my hospital bed, I felt as though someone was holding my left hand. I looked down and no one was there. I turned away, thinking it was nothing. Then I felt it again. Given how I was laying, for someone to hold my hand, they would have had to pass through a table and the side of my hospital bed. While I can’t be certain, perhaps it was Jesus letting me know that everything was going to be okay.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
God may not take away our trials, but we can be sure he’ll help us through them.
Prayer: Father in heaven, please help our friends and family members who are sick.
