I sometimes think God can’t use me to serve him because I’m not a particularly good speaker and don’t think quickly on my feet. Other times I’m reminded of my past sins and don’t think I’m worthy to do anything for him. A social media post reminded me that many of the greatest people in the Bible had flaws, yet God used them anyway.
If God used Noah, who got drunk and laid naked in his tent, he can use you.
If God used Abraham, who lied about Sarah being his wife, he can use you.
If God used Jacob, who swindled his brother out of his birthright, he can use you.
If God used Moses, who killed an Egyptian, he can use you.
If God used Rahab, who was a prostitute who lied about hiding the spies sent by Moses, he can use you.
If God used Samson, who was led astray by foreign women and lost his sight, he can use you.
If God used David, who committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband killed, he can use you.
If God used Jonah, who ran away from God because he hated the people of Nineveh, he can use you.
If God used Nebuchadnezzar, who was prideful and didn’t believe in God, he can use you.
If God used Peter, who denied Jesus three times, he can use you.
If God used Paul, who was an accessory to the murder of Christians, he can use you.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
God can use anyone.
Prayer: Father in heaven, please prepare me to serve you both now and in the age to come.
Prayer Focus: THOSE RELUCTANT TO SERVE GOD.
